Our library is always expanding, and consists only of legally purchased music and is kept current in-part with monthly subscription services available only to professional disc jockeys and other industry professionals. This ensures that we always have the latest songs you and your guests want to hear.
The sheer size of our library prevents us from listing it here, but if you would like to inquire about specific types of music or certain artists/songs for your event, please feel free to contact us.Â
"To play, or not to play..."
When you hire Sounds To Go, this will never be a question! Instead of simply assuming we know what you might like or want and then proceeding to play what we want to play, we will discuss music selection with you prior to your event in order to get an understanding of your favorite musical styles, eras, artists, songs, etc.  We even encourage you to make "Must-Play" and (if you wish) "Must-NOT-Play" lists. We work with you to establish guidelines for the programming at your event, and we use our discretion to make sure that even requests coming in on-the-spot fit within those parameters. Because we get them from subscription services that also supply new music to radio stations nation-wide, our selections are "clean versions" that are edited for lyrical content. With Sounds To Go you never have to worry about out-of-place, inappropriate, or offensive material at your event.
Special Requests:
At Sounds To Go, special requests are not only welcomed for each event, they are encouraged!Â
Because our library is updated monthly and put into a searchable and sortable database, we have current, printed listings of our entire library available at each event for your guests to look through at their leisure! Not only that, but these lists are sorted alphabetically by song, artist, and genre to ensure that you and your guests spend more time enjoying, dancing, and celebrating to your favorite songs than you do trying to look them up!
We also have optional (free... just ask!) song-request slips for you to place at your tables for your guests' convenience. Getting everyone in on the action is one of the best ways to guarantee that all of your guests have the best time they possibly can.
Dinner & Cocktail Moods:
We know that every event is special and unique, and we realize that many events are composed of different segments, each requiring their own specific mood, and we specialize in finding just the right music for just the right times.  Many events have some sort of cocktail or dinner segment, usually at the beginning, which is best served by a subtle and pleasant backdrop. Not too-loud and not too-soft, the music during these times has to be just the right style and volume to both relax and entertain you and your guests while you enjoy the company of friends and family.Â
Background music should be just that... in the the background.Â
Quite often, a subtle and classy backdrop that speaks of elegance and restraint is desired for these times, and if this is what you are looking for, we can provide you with the desired level of sophistication for these parts of your event.Â
We have both timeless standards and tasteful renditions of contemporary ballads in all
sorts of instrumental formats. We have solo (cocktail) piano, piano & orchestral
ensembles, jazz arrangements, and more.Â
Done artfully, musical programing for your cocktail and dinner segments can be more than just white-noise... it can actually serve a purpose. By moving gradually between different types of instrumentation and by transitioning slowly from instrumental music to light vocal selections, these segments can be used to shape the mood of your event by subtlely and almost subconsciously preparing your guests for what is coming ahead.Â

Will you have a friend or family member singing or playing an instrument (or both) at your event? Will they need backing tracks or additional microphones/mic stands, etc. for their performance? Maybe to plug in a guitar or keyboard? Perhaps you are going to incorporate a live performance by a dance-troupe or, maybe even belly dancers! We are happy to assist anyone else who is going to be a part of your celebration. Sounds To Go definitely plays well with others!
